Sheltered from the bracing Atlantic Ocean, the 12000 hectare "Golfe du Morbihan" is a real little inland sea. An idealic setting with it's 42 islets and islands and which has been classed amoung the "most beautiful bays in the world".

Damgan is situated half way between "La Baule" and the "Golfe du Morbihan", and 27 km from Vannes. Surrounded by water, on the southern side by the Atlantic Ocean and on the northern side by the river of "Pénerf".

It's geographical situation and it's spectacular sea front with 8 km of supervised beach (grouping all sorts of leisures : swimming, fishing, nautical sports, cultural and sports activities) makes it a priviledged site for holidays and for visiting the region which is full of historical interest : castels, manor houses, chapels, whishing wells…
